Front Office Team

Jill R.

Patient Care Coordinator

After working in customer service for over 30 years, Jill thought that an opportunity to work in the dental field would be a great fit for her. That was over ten years ago and she has been doing an amazing job helping our patients ever since. The most rewarding part of the job for Jill is her relationship with the patients. She feels like they are a second family. She strives to ensure they feel comfortable and at ease with all aspects of our office. She loves the appreciate she feels from them.

Jill is married to her husband, Jeff, and they have one adult son. In her spare time she enjoys traveling to watch their son play collegiate soccer, heading up north, reading by the water, and spending time with family and friends.

Melissa K., RDH

Practice Manager / Registered Dental Hygienist

Melissa has been a part of Elite Smiles Dental since 1997 serving as both Registered Dental Hygienist as well as our Practice Manager. Melissa's father and uncle are both dentists and she said that this influence led to her knowing from a very young age that she wanted to be in some kind of medical profession. Her long time patients and co-workers are the highlights of her job, and she really enjoys helping patients improve their oral health and maintaining their smiles.

When Melissa isn't in the office, she enjoys going for walks with her husband and their dog Annie. She also loves to watch her two beautiful daughters, Adi and Lilly, play soccer. Her summers are spent boating and being on the water whenever she can.

Sara H.

Patient Care Coordinator

Sara became part of Elite Smiles Dental in 1988 and hasn't looked back since! She is proud to be part of a dedicated, caring, and professional team. She loves the family friendly atmosphere that we have worked hard to achieve and she strives to continue this tradition. Sara is the familiar face at the front desk that almost every patient in the practice will recognize.

Sara and her husband recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary and they have three grown children and three grandchildren. She loves family time, she is a big sports enthusiast, a big country music fan, and enjoys nature.

Registered Dental Hygienist Team

Laurie R., RDH

Laurie started her dental career after graduating from the dental hygiene program at FVTC in 2005. Her interest in dentistry was sparked by a relative who is also a dental hygienist. Laurie finds fulfillment in her job by providing quality care to her patients and getting to know them and build relationships over time.

When Laurie isn’t providing excellent care to her patients she enjoys traveling and spending time with family, friends, and her pets. At home she has two dogs named Beaker and Peanut, and two cats named Minnie and Pixie.

Lisa P., RDH

Lisa's career in dentistry was decided upon when she was in high school and was trying to make that big choice of a career path. Her mom was a dental assistant and suggested that she would make a great hygienist. Lisa ran with the idea and has now been practicing dental hygiene for over 26 years. Lisa finds gratification in her job through her patients. She treasures the bond she has made with them over the years through caring for them and helping to make them healthier. She also loves that she learns something new every single day in this career.

In Lisa's spare time she enjoys walking her dog, boating, traveling, and the ocean. She loves the ocean and the beach and visits her parents in Daytona whenever she can. Lisa has a husband, Carl, and two daughters, Lily (18) and Addison (15). They have a golden retriever named Chance and a ragdoll cat named Phoebe.

Dental Assistant Team

Keeley G.

Keeley has been in the dental field since 2010 when she graduated from the FVTC Dental Assisting program. Her mother had worked in the dental field and it sparked an interest for her. She also wanted a hands-on job in a fast paced environment, so dental assisting was a perfect fit. Keeley has continued to love her job because dentistry is ever changing and she finds it gratifying to constantly learn new things and be able to give her patients the best care and experience possible.

At home Keeley has a husband, two daughters, and a dog named Nala. In her spare time she enjoys playing sports, traveling, watching her girls play sports, and hiking.

Megan G.

Megan has been working in the dental field as a dental assistant for over six years. She found an interest in dentistry at a very young age. She had a passion for practicing good oral hygiene and always had a curiosity about how the dentist would complete procedures. She loves that a career in dentistry provides the opportunity for continuous learning and allows her to meet new people and get to know her patients.

When not providing great patient care, Megan enjoys hiking, camping, exploring, and spending time with family and friends.

Michelle F.

Michelle is one of the dental assistants at Elite Smiles Dental and she has worked with Dr. Scharine for over 26 years. She enjoys meeting new people every day and especially appreciates how dentistry has evolved over the years. The people that she meets and the challenges that we face daily in dentistry are what keep Michelle motivated in her job.

Michelle likes to take weekend road trips, watch baseball, and spend time with family and friends. She has four wonderful children, three boys and one girl. She also has one grandson that she adores.

Sue R., CDA

Sue started her dental career in 1975 and has been with Elite Smiles Dental since 1982! Sue first started out going to college for Elementary Education but soon realized that everyone was doing that at the time. After looking at other choices for education, she felt that dentistry looked interesting. She attended technical school in La Crosse and became a dental assistant. She has now provided over 40 years of wonderful service to our patients and feels that many of them have become like family. She loves the opportunity for constant learning, having a hands on job, and expanding her duties.

When Sue is out of the office she enjoys gardening, reading, cooking, and baking. (The whole team loves when she bakes!) She is married to Jim and they have one son, Alex, who is married to Kelsey.
